Keith Oliver Shimel, age 82, of Montevallo, died March 18, 2015. He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Ella Shimel; brothers, Byron Shimel and Walt Shimel; and sister, Helen Shimel. He is survived by his sons, Keith Oliver Shimel, Jr. (Heather) of Helena and Roger Lynn Shimel of Bibb County; daughter, Stephanie Ann Shimel Moore of Birmingham; stepdaughters, Teresa Williams of Clanton and Sandra Williams of Tennessee; special friend he loved like a daughter, Kelly Speakman; brother, John Shimel of Michigan; and sister, Anna McGowan of Michigan. A private burial will be held in Michigan.
