Kenneth “Kenny” Moreland, age 38, of Montevallo, passed away February 4, 2015 at home surrounded by his family. Kenny attended Montevallo High School and worked for T&K Construction. He was a self-proclaimed “redneck” who loved to hunt and fish. He loved Alabama football, playing practical jokes and telling tall tales. His truest joy in life was spending time with the love of his life-his daughter-Kaylona.
He was preceded in death by his father, John Moreland, and his grandmother, Virginia Simmons. He is survived by his mother, Debbie Moreland of Montevallo; his daughter, Kaylona Moreland of Cullman; his sister, Kelly Moreland Barnwell (Major) of Calera; aunts, Sherry Whitehead and Linda Dutton (Danny), both of Montevallo; uncle, Kenny Whitehead; and cousins, Johnny Whitehead of Colorado, Chris Whitehead (Lauren) of Decatur, Scarlett Whitehead of Decatur, John Paul Dutton of Montevallo and Gina Dutton Reese of Montevallo.
Services will be private for the family, per Kenny’s wishes.
