Linda Smith Harmon, age 72, of Alabaster, passed away on July 8, 2021. She was a proud mother and Granny, a great sister and friend. She leaves many wonderful memories and she had a smile that lights up a room. She enjoyed sewing, quilting and crocheting. Her family most enjoyed her Southern cooking, especially her strawberry cobbler. She was a woman of faith and a member of First Baptist Church of Alabaster.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Richard Harmon; and her parents, John Smith and Ola Mae Brown Smith. She is survived by her daughter, Kellie Poland (Eric); grandchildren, Nathan and Olivia Poland; sister, Betty Snyder; and brother, Kenneth Smith.
Her funeral service will be held on Tuesday, July 13, 2021 at 11:00 AM at Rockco Funeral Home (Montevallo), with Leon White to officiate. Visitation will begin at 10:00 AM. A committal service will follow at 12:30 PM at Alabama National Cemetery, 3133 Highway 119, Montevallo, AL 35115. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be directed to First Baptist Church of Alabaster.
