Linda Dian Anderson Vines

Linda Dian Anderson Vines, age 65, of Roberta, Georgia, passed away March 1, 2017. Originally from Alabama, Linda graduated from Montevallo High School. She and her husband ran their business, Progressive Systems, in Knoxville, GA. Later, she became a rural mail carrier for Fort Valley Post Office. She loved flower gardening; fishing; watching game shows, especially Jeopardy; UGA and Buford High School sports, especially basketball and football; and spending time with her 3 granddaughters.

She was preceded in death by her father, Arthur Edgar Anderson; mother, Marviree Allen Anderson; sister, Wilma Anderson Eiland; sisters-in-law, Debbie Anderson, Linda Sue Anderson and Lily Marie West Smith; brothers-in-law, Josh Bailey West and James Smith; and two nephews. Left to treasure her memory are her husband of 42 years, Hugh Vines, Jr.; daughter, Michelle “Shellie” Vines Demaline (Chris); granddaughters, Bella Grace, Callie Hope and Aisllynn Faith Demaline; brothers, Art Anderson (Joann), Johnny Anderson, Ronnie Anderson (Joyce) and Loyd Anderson; brother-in-law, David Eiland; sisters-in-law, Paulette Vines and Marsha Anette Vines Thompson (Richard Lee); numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.

A Celebration of her Life will be held on Sunday, March 5, 2017 at 3:00 PM at Rockco Funeral Home (Montevallo), with the family receiving friends beginning at 1:30 PM. Burial will follow at Enon Baptist Church Cemetery in Montevallo, Alabama.
