Myrtle was a devout Christian lady throughout her life. She dedicated herself to her faith and her family.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Herman and Martha Moore; her husbands, Arthur G. Cupp, Jr. and Walter Hester; daughters, Judy Cupp Cox and Cathy Cupp Hadaway; brothers, Edwin Moore, Hubbard Moore, and Alven Moore; and sister, Margie “Sis” Hester.
She is survived by her daughters, Carolyn Cupp and Bonnie Cupp Thomas (David); grandchildren, Meghan Thomas Hays (Perry), Cacy Lowe Hadaway, Charles Henry “Chip” Cox III (Meena), and James David “Jay” Thomas III; six great-grandchildren; step-children, Alice Spain (Jeff), Sam Hester and Terry Hester (Melinda); sisters-in-law, Gladys Moore, Jane Cupp Busby (Eugene), Theda Cupp Wilson, Betty Ann Cupp, JoAnn Martin Cupp Stephens, and Jean Cupp; and numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.
Her funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 3, 2020, at 2:00 PM at Rockco Funeral Home (Montevallo) with Bro.
Ed Snow to officiate.
Visitation will begin at 12:30 PM. Burial will follow at Shelby Memory Gardens in Calera, Alabama.
