Owen Franklin Boothe

Owen was preceded in death by his wife of 62 years, Eleanor Ruth Lawley Boothe; parents; 8 siblings; sons, Travis Boothe and Clifford Boothe; and grandson, Joseph Jay Boothe.

He served in the U.S. Army during WWII and was awarded the Purple Heart and Bronze Star. He worked as an electrician in the coal mines in the area.

Owen is survived by his daughter, Dawn Winsett (Jim); daughter-in-law, Linda Boothe; grandchildren, Wendy Argo (Benny), Ben Boothe and Dana Allen (Jason); great-grandchildren, Savannah Argo Whitlock (Tony), Andrew Argo, Travis Allen and Mallory Allen.

His sweet smile and gentle loving heart will be sorely missed by all who knew him.

A visitation for Owen will be held Wednesday, April 26, 2023 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Rockco Funeral Home, 3715 Highway 25, Montevallo, Alabama 35115. A funeral service will occur Thursday, April 27, 2023 at 11:00 AM, 3715 Highway 25, Montevallo, Alabama 35115 with the burial following at Macedonia Cemetery, Highway 22, Pea Ridge, Alabama.
