Ronald Max Byrd, age 52, of Shelby, Alabama, passed away July 18, 2016. He was a graduate of Calera High School, and attended Amazing Grace Worship Center in Saginaw. He loved the outdoors, football and racing. He was preceded in death by his mother, Lorene McMullin Byrd; baby sister, Lisa Lorene Byrd; and grandparents, Jack & Bessie McMullin and Willie & Ora Byrd. He is survived by his son, Adam Byrd (Kasey Gordon); father, Donald “PawPaw” Byrd (Geneva); sisters, Melisa Byrd (Angel Garcia) and Donna Burnett (Richard); nephew, Allen Byrd (Shanen); niece, Racheal Smithey (William); great-nephews, Ayden & Tucker Smithey and Nathan Byrd; great-niece, Lillith Anne Byrd; and a host of aunts, uncles and cousins. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 20, 2016 from 6:00 until 8:00PM at Rockco Funeral Home (Montevallo). His funeral service will be at 10:00AM on Thursday, July 21, 2016 at Rockco, with burial to follow at Elliottsville Cemetery in Alabaster.
