Roy W. Hicks

Roy W. Hicks born February 25, 1970 of Calera went to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on December 23, 2015 after a long battle with Multiple Myeloma. Roy is survived by his wife of 16 years Joy Kane Hicks, his son Ethan Hicks, his father and mother Jerry (Eddie) and Cathy Hagood of Jemison, his brother and sister in-law Jerry and Melissa Hagood and their children Emily, Logan, and Carson, his father in-law and mother in-law James and Glenda Kane of Randolph and his brother in-law and sister in-law Dondi and Jan Sharpton and their son Zach. Roy was a loving husband, a proud father, a faithful son and a good friend to many. Roy was a devoted Christian and a charter member of Christ Central Church in Calera. The family will receive friends Saturday, December 26 from 12-2pm at Randolph Baptist Church, 6221 Hwy 36; Randolph, AL 36792 with a funeral service to follow. Rev. Tony Reynolds and Rev. Jason Seales will be officiating his services. Burial will be in the adjoining cemetery. Pallbearers will be Richard Jackson, Richard Henry, Jeremy Mott, Brandon Culp, Jamie White, Lee Collins, and Michael Chadwick. In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorials be made to the Roy Hicks Memorial Fund at Regions Bank.
