T. Wayne Smith

T. Wayne was preceded in death by his wife, Diane Smith. At the time of her passing, they were married for 48 years. Also preceding him in death are his parents, Troy K. Smith and Marilla Dee Cox Gould; and his sister, Patricia “Pat” Wolff.

T. Wayne is survived by his sons, Mark Smith (Tammy) and Alton Smith (Kassie); grandchildren, Tiffany Quinley, Lindsey Davis, Kendall Smith (C. J.), Tullus Smith, Zoie Smith, and Ember Smith; great-grandson, Vincent Davis; best friend, Jamie Smith; also a plethora of nieces, nephews and friends.

T. Wayne was a member of the Masonic Brotherhood and a member of the Shriners. He also served in the US Army where he was promoted to Specialist E-5 and awarded the National Defense Service Medal. T. Wayne was an avid horse trainer who enjoyed being involved in horse shows and educating others on how to care for their horses. T. Wayne enjoyed watching NASCAR. He had a multitude of stories to tell anyone willing to listen ranging from his childhood tales to current events. He always enjoyed spending time with his loving wife, Diane, and you would often find them at the beach.

A visitation for T. Wayne will be held Wednesday, February 23, 2022 from 12:30 PM to 2:00 PM at Rockco Funeral Home, 3715 Highway 25, Montevallo, Alabama 35115, followed by a funeral service at 2:00 PM.

He will be laid to rest in Moore's Cemetery, Montevallo, Alabama.
