EVERYTIME I saw you, you always had a smile and was so nice, sweet, funny, warm, welcoming and cool. When you announced you was having Sydney, I was sooo happy for you, cause you were gonna be (and is) a cool mama. I will miss you and will cherish all of the good memories. My prayers are with your daughter, Sydney and your family and friends. You are going to make one cool angel 👼🕊️🙏

I met Amber when her and many mutual friends of ours attended Floyd Middle Magnet together. That was such an impressionable time for us as young men and women and we all had so much fun. What a sweetheart she was. I believe that everyone she came in contact with benefited from knowing her.

I remember meeting her in a few fleeting moments at Bilco and Gina's house in Montgomery. She and her sister were a blur, of beautiful activity, on a visit long overdue, I shared with my lifelong friend and his beautiful family.

It is a sad thing when someone so young passes and yet, as I remember, her flame burned brightly. My sympathies to her loving parents and other relatives who knew her much better than I. I hope they find peace and joy in the many memories, of her, they share.

love,

Kim and Paul

Amber was the type of friend I could always call no matter how long it had been and we could always pick right back up where we left off. The most sincere, genuine soul I've ever encountered I recently was told an old story by a mutual friend of her compassion and support of me during a time I was rebuilding my life. She was my cheerleader and if it werent for her being my neighbor, I wouldn't have had the courage to keep going. I walked to her house a few blocks from mine and sat with her discussing life, art, makeup and music. She may not have realized it, but she saved my life. It meant the world because she saw me as an equal at a time when I didn't even love myself. She was a force to be reckoned with so full of love and talent. Sydney reminds me a lot of Amber and I'm sure she will be just as talented. I love you Amber. Thank you for showing kindness to me. I will carry it on and never forget you.

Amber, what a petite powerhouse you were. So talented, full of ideas and ready to learn. You were one of my best students and you always made my classes more challenging and energetic. We are going to miss you so much Amber. You made your classmates better designers—better artists. I just thought you would be back soon to finish your degree because it meant so much to you and I know you wanted to show your daughter who you really were: a vibrant, determined woman with ambition. She was your world and you were hers; continue to watch over her. Thankfully, I was able to tell you what a great woman you were while you were here. Rest well Amber.

My dearest Amber, I know I’m suppose to be sharing towards others about you, but I find my comfort in writing to you, as I feel sure you can hear me. Our journey together has been nothing short of amazing for me. A bond that has been built by memories, conversations, laughs and loyalty. Your beauty lit up, even the darkest of rooms. Your talent outgrew many of us. I was in awe of your gracefully kind heart, that never wavered I’m judgement of others. Your artistic potential was boundless. Your unique qualities & your ability to overcome was something I have always been so proud of. It was such an honor to be your friend. This world is lesser and dimmer without you in it. And Although I share insurmountable sadness about your departure from this life, I will carry you with me for all of my days. I will draw close to your daughter, Sydney because I know the you will live on through her. Your impact has been the most beautiful story to be a part of & I am forever grateful to have been able to call you my true friend. All my love, Jess. 🤍💘

When I heard this horrible news I prayed and cried a lot. I've been a Recovering sister to Amber for 5 or so years. When she was well and plugged into the Solution of Recovery I actually was a Support character witness 3 R 4 years ago in Family Custody court where DHR was involved and that day Amber became soul guardian and single mother to Sydney. Sydney will know through some of us how much her mommy loved her. My life was forever blessed to have had Amber in my Life. Continued prayers for all you guys. Love Laura Corley

I have so many memories of laughter and tears with sweet Amber. She helped me over the years way more than I could ever have helped her. She was so beautiful and talented and I’m so thankful I have one of her beautiful pieces of artwork hanging in my home that she gave me for my birthday. I will always carry her in my ❤️ and I miss her so much

One of my favorite memories with Amber is when her, Sydney, and I visited the Arts museum in Montgomery. We tried on masks, danced in front of the visual screen, played on the computer, and did pretty much everything you could on the kids side. Amber was such a great mom and friend- she was always there when I needed her, and she never judged. She was always happiest when she was with her daughter, and I know she will live on through her. I will always miss our talks- no matter how much time had passed, we could always pick back up right where we left off. Thank you Amber for being a part of my life.
