Andrew Tyler Knight

Knight, Andrew Tyler, 19, of Elmore, AL passed away on December 29, 2009. Visitation will be held at 1:00 pm on Saturday, January 2, 2009 at Leak Memory Chapel in Montgomery, AL. Funeral services will follow at 2:00 pm with Rev. Sarah Shaver officiating. Burial will take place at Greenwood Cemetery following funeral services. Tyler was a loving father, son, grandson, and friend. He is survived by his son, Jesse Carl Knight, Montgomery, AL; parents, Rick and Teri Wilson, Elmore, AL and Brian and Roxanne Knight, CA; grandparents, Bill and Wanda Oswalt, Montgomery, AL and Loretta Grove, Montgomery, AL; four brothers, Richard A. Wilson, Jr., Elmore, AL; Ryan, Robert and Roan Knight, CA; two nephews, Caleb Wilson Rainwater and Tristin Allan Wilson; and several loving aunts, uncles, and cousins. Tyler was a 2008 graduate of Stanhope Elmore High School, where he excelled in JROTC. Pallbearers will be Sam Ousley, Chris Oswalt, Phil Oswalt, Kevan O’Connor, Nicholas Hagans and Jordan Hagans. Honorary pallbearers are Keenan O’Connor and Justin Moss.Tyler was born in Landstuhl, Germany, on August 29, 1990. He moved to Montgomery, Alabama in 1991 and then to Elmore, Alabama in 2003. During his 19 years and 4 months on earth, Tyler did alot of living. He loved his son, his family, his friends, and his country. Those who were fortunate enough to know Tyler will remember his quirky sense of humor, his loyalty to those he loved, and his sensitivity. He loved music and often expressed himself through writing. From a young age, he enjoyed building and fixing things, taking things apart, and usually putting them back together again. Tyler liked to play and watch baseball, loved Alabama football, and was happiest when he was outdoors, especially if he was fishing, camping, or swimming. He loved being a father and adored his son, Jesse. Tyler leaves behind a family that will love and cherish him always. He lives on in our hearts and our memories.
