Annie Lois McWhorter , affectionately known as Lois, was born on May 24, 1943, in Montgomery, Al. Lois was a faithful servant of God. She received Christ at an early age at New Mt Calvary Baptist Church in Montgomery, AL. She was a faithful member of Beulah Baptist Church in Montgomery, AL.
Lois was a devoted wife, loving mother and cherished grandmother. She married Wilbert McWhorter on November 28, 1964, and their love resulted in the birth of their son, Derick McWhorter.
Lois had a passion for education. She was a dedicated teacher for 32 years with Elmore County Public School System. Lois had a passion for knowledge, and her calling was not only to teach but also to inspire her students and prepare them for future. Teaching was not only her profession, but it was also he calling. She was a member of the National Sorority of Phi Theta Kappa, Inc., Beta Beta Chapter, Montgomery, AL.
Lois was known for her warm smile and gentle spirit. Her constant drive to serve the community with love and compassion left a lasting impact. She was truly special to her family, friends and everyone she encountered.
