Arthur Charles Brooks was 84 years old when he passed away at the Prattville Baptist Hospital on December 8, 2020. Charles was born on October 25, 1936 and grew up in Montgomery, Alabama with his parents and younger brother, Johnny Brooks. He joined the military at 16 years old and served his country for 2l years, and retired from the Navy as Chief Petty Officer. Charles was loved by so many and
he was always there to lend a helping hand. Charles was preceded in death by his parents, Beauron Brooks and Clara Brooks, his only brother, Johnny Brooks, and one grandson, Christopher
Schlotterbeck.
Charles is survived by his beloved wife, Polly Brooks and five children, Tony Brooks, Timothy Brooks with spouse Rhonda Brooks, Deborah Schlotterbeck with spouse Mark Schlotterbeck, Cynthia Powell and Terry Kicker with spouse Deborah Kicker. He is also survived by his ten grandchildren, Andrea Hatchcock, James
Schlotterbeck, Jessica Brooks, Heather Brooks, Cortney Powell, Haley Powell, Tyler Brooks, Kyle Brooks, Ethan Kicker and Matthew Kicker; and four great grandchildren, Carson Taunton, Luke Hatchcock, Finley Garmon, and Rhyver Brooks. Charles is also survived by two nieces, Kim Goree and Misty Brooks, and two
great nephews, Logan Goree and Lane Goree.
Though Charles is no longer here on earth with us, he chose to accept God's gift of salvation and is resting in peace in Heaven with his Savior. He is also reunited with his parents, brother and grandson. Arthur Charles Brooks will truly be missed by all of whom he left behind.
