Mitchell, Arthur T., age 82 died peacefully Tuesday, November 2, 2010 at a local hospital with his family by his side. Mr. Mitchell enjoyed good health until he fell and broke his hip in September that brought on many problems. He was preceded in death by his parents, Arthur T. Mitchell, Sr.& Myra Walker Mitchell; step-mother, Fannie Lou Mays Mitchell and a sister, Helen Mitchell Harkins. Mr. Mitchell is survived by his wife of 55 years, Vivienne Addison Mitchell; a daughter, Sandra (David) Forsman and a grandson, Brad Douglas. Graveside services will be held on Friday, November 5, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. at New Ebenezer Baptist Church Cemetery in Highland Home, AL with Dr. Steve Muzio officiating. The family will receive friends at Leak Memory Chapel on Thursday, November 4, 2010 from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m.
