Barbara Jean Brienza

Born on June 27, 1943, in Denver, Colorado, her life was a testament to her deep Catholic faith and unwavering commitment to her family.

Barbara was the loving wife of Richard Roxie Brienza, who preceded her in death on may 13, 2025. Their 58-year marriage was a beautiful example of a shared life ground in love and faith.

A dedicated mother, Barbara’s greatest joy was her family. She is survived by her loving children: Marlin Shane Brienza, Myron Shannon Brienza, and Monica ShelLee Swain. She was preceded in death by her son, Matthew Sean Brienza. Her legacy continues through her 11 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren, all of whom she cherished deeply.

Throughout her life, Barbara was an active member of Holy Spirit Catholic Church, finding strength and community in her parish. Her kindness, generosity, and strong faith were an inspiration to all who knew her.

A visitation for friends and family will be held on October 9, 2025, from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at Holy Spirit Catholic Church, located at 8570 Vaughn Road in Montgomery, Alabama. A Funeral Mass will follow at the same location, beginning at 11:00 a.m. The burial will take place at St. Margaret Cemetery (Oakwood).
