Barbara worked and retired from Jackson’s Hospital in Montgomery after 30 plus years as a Unit Secretary where she was loved and appreciated for her great work ethic and a genuine care for others. This carried over into her personal life where she was always willing and enjoyed helping others when she recognized the need. If you were in need and she could help, she’d be there for you. She had a great love for many animals in her life and you can guarantee they received the best of the best of care. She really enjoyed feeding her birds and watching them in the birdbath in her backyard as well as taking the grandchildren to the Montgomery Zoo for frequent visits. Barbara was a member of Dalraida Church of Christ in Montgomery where she’ll be truly missed. She recently resided at Seton Haven Senior Living where she enjoyed helping others until she couldn’t any longer. Particularly, her dear friend Mary Hooks.
If you wish to memorialize Barbara, please make a donation to the Montgomery Zoo in her name and honor.
