

Mrs. Billie Jean Garrett, age 81, of Montgomery, Alabama passed away on Tuesday, August 20, 2024 in Dothan, AL. She was born and raised in Montgomery, AL. She graduated high school in Waynesboro, Missouri and then met and married her loving husband. She loved her husband and family as she worked for Farm Bureau ( ALFA) Insurance as her husband bravely served our country in the Vietnam War. She was a member of the Order of Eastern Star. Billie Jean never met a stranger and always enjoyed visiting with friends, laughing talking and working in her flower garden. She loved watching things grow and was blessed with a green thumb. Billie Jean always smiled and remarked Michael Jackson wrote the song about her as she would her it playing on the radio.
She was preceded in death by her parents William David (Billy) Jackson Sr. and Mildred Little Jackson. Her loving husband of over 30 years Henry Thomas Garrett.
Billie Jean is survived by her son Gregory Garrett, grandson Gregory Garrett Jr,; brother William (David) Jackson Jr and wife Martha and her loving furry friend Cooter Bug.
A Celebration of Life Graveside Service will be held at Greenwood Cemetery on Monday August 26, at 10am with a Family and friends fellowship visitation held immediately following at Leak Memory.
