Bob Hyde

Robert Blake Hyde, Jr. was born in Montgomery, Alabama, December 16, 1944 to Robert Blake Hyde, Sr. and Helen Virginia Duffee Hyde. He is survived by his wife and soul mate, Judia Franklin Hyde; his daughters, Deanna Jo Navarre and Sharon Leigh Collazo; his son, Kevin Blake Hyde; and Kenneth F. Harrison II, who he loved as his own; his sons-in-law, Tony E. Navarre and Jerome W. Collazo; six grandchildren: Stephen Navarre (Shannon), Travis Navarre (fiancé’ Sarah Davis), Jeremy Navarre, Kaleb Hyde, Brittany Hyde and Kasey Collazo; and three great-grandchildren, Kensley, Karley and Tony Ray Navarre. Additionally, he is survived by his beloved aunt and second-mother, Elizabeth Duffee Lumpkin; his uncle, Clarence E. Duffee (Ruth); and his siblings, Virginia Looney and Donald L. Hyde (Sara Jane).

A celebration of life will be held at 11:00 am, Wednesday, November 28th at St. Paul Lutheran Church with Pastors Carey P. Elam and Steve Richardson officiating. Interment will follow at Greenwood Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 5 to 7 pm on Tuesday, November 27th at Leak Memory Chapel.

We are profoundly and humbly grateful to Bob’s guardian angel, Dr. Fred Hunker; and Drs. David George, Lisa Williams and Peter Lambert. Thank you all from the bottom of our hearts for giving those of us who loved Bob so deeply two extra years to spend with him. Every day was a treasure.

In lieu of flowers, Bob had requested memorial contributions be made in his name to St. Paul Lutheran Church, 4475 Atlanta Highway, Montgomery, Alabama 36109.
