Bonita Carol Lowe, age 70, went to be with her Lord and Savior on March 2, 2018. She was a member of Evangel Church where she worked for many years with the Children’s department and was also involved in the Missions program. Carol graduated from Troy University with a Masters in Education. She immediately began her teaching career, which spanned for 25 years with Montgomery Public Schools. After retiring in 1997, she was hired at Evangel Christian Academy where she taught for 18 years and retired in 2016. She was preceded in death by her parents, Bonnie Lee Lowe and Willie Clyde Spann Lowe. She is survived by her sister, Barbara Lowe Smith; her brother, Terryl R. Lowe; her nephew, Jason Lee Smith (Brie); and her great niece and nephew, Ainsley Grace Smith and Colby Jackson Smith. A celebration of her life will be held at 11:00 am, on Wednesday, March 7, 2018, at Evangel Church at 3975 Vaughn Road with Pastor Michael Rippy officiating. The family will begin to meet friends one hour prior to the service. Burial will follow at Greenwood Cemetery.
