Brenda graduated from Overton High School in Memphis, Tennessee. She graduated from Auburn University with a degree in Education.
She met the love of her life, Wayne, in the single adult class at First Baptist Church. They had been married for 48 years.
She was a member of Eastern Hills Baptist Church. She truly loved the lord and her church family.
Brenda is survived by her husband, Wayne Hicks, and her sister, Gayle H. Brannan; her nephews, John Phillip Brannan, 3rd (Carla), James Patrick Brannan (Leslie); special friends, Elise Keith, Bette Carroll and Becky Elliott; also, all the loving friends from her Sunday School Class.
She was pre-deceased by her parents and her brother, Wayne E. Henderson.
The funeral will be held at Leak Memory Chapel on Friday, July 12, 2024 at 2:00 PM, with visitation taking place an hour prior.
