Faithful and hard-working, Carol dedicated herself to her family and to serving her community. She worked at Highland Gardens Community Center of Montgomery, where her steady presence and commitment reflected the care she brought to every part of her life.
Carol found joy in simple, meaningful pursuits. She enjoyed crafting, decorating, and painting—interests that expressed her creativity and the thoughtful way she made spaces warm and welcoming.
Carol was preceded in death by her father, Joe Burgin; her mother, Alma Easterling Burgin; and her brother, Don Burgin.
She is survived by her beloved husband of 50 years, Robert Smith; her sons, Chris Smith and Timmy Smith; her daughter, Noel Smith Murray (Charles); her grandchildren, Hailey, Riley, Easton, Lexi, Payton, Luke, and Paisley; and her sisters, Sherry Burgin and Amy Armstrong; as well as several beloved nieces and nephews.
A memorial service to honor Carol's memory will be planned for a later date.
