Carol Loraine Weathers

Carol Loraine Weathers, 91, entered the presence of her Savior, August 27, 2016 at 7:15 a.m. Born in Zion, Illinois on December 25, 1924, she lived in Chicago, Illinois until adulthood when she moved to Burlingame, California with United Airlines. It was there she met her husband, William T. (Bill) Weathers. They married April 22, 1961 and had two children, Susan Joy and Stephanie Faith. In the late 60’s the family moved to Montgomery, Alabama. Mrs. Weathers was a devout Christian and she passed on a deep faith in Christ to both her daughters. She worked as a bookkeeper in accounts receivable at various places, ran an in-home daycare, and volunteered in her church. In later years, she lived in Knoxville, Tennessee and Cullman, Alabama to be near her family.

Mrs. Weathers was preceded in death by her husband Bill; her parents, Stephen and Irene Urbanick, brothers Paul Urbanick and Byron Urbanick and sister Ruth Urbanick. She is survived by two daughters, Susan Joy (Steven) Epperson and Stephanie Faith (Barry) Barnett; 11 grandchildren Miranda Epperson, Brandon (Allie) Barnett, Michelle Epperson (Dave) Grorud, Aimee Barnett (Joey) Williams, Amanda Barnett (Judah) Chafin, Stacey Epperson (David) Rutledge, Robert (Ciara) Epperson, Grace Epperson, Daniel Epperson, Joseph Epperson, and Esther Epperson; 8 great-grandchildren Carter and Kinslee Barnett, Hosanna and Mercy Grorud, Harper Williams, Elijah, Juliet and Lukas Rutledge; a brother Burton (Barbara) Urbanick and a sister Grace Rogers as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends Wednesday, August 31st from 1-2 pm at Leak Memory Chapel, Montgomery, Alabama with a graveside service immediately following at Greenwood Cemetery. Mrs. Weathers was deeply loved and will be greatly missed.
