Carolyn Joan (Alford) Ballard

10-11am, at Leak Memory Chapel, followed by her funeral from 11am-12pm with Rev. Brian Deringer and Rev. Patrick Quinn officiating. Friends are invited to attend her Graveside Service at Hillview Cemetery in Alexander City, AL at 2:00pm.

Mrs. Ballard was preceded in death by her husband of 61 years, Billy Ray Ballard; daughter Sheila Joyce Ballard; brother Allen Durell Alford, Sr. (Margelene) and sister Gala Joyce Ray (Dean). Survivors include brother Farrell Alford (Diane), son James Linion “Lynn” Ballard (Sherrie); grandchildren, Ashley “Layne” Mackin (Russell), Jacob “Jake” Linion Ballard, great grandchild Brett Thomas Mackin. Pallbearers will be Layne Mackin, Jake Ballard, Jimmy Henderson, Chap Gilmore, Frank Wiles, and Buddy O’Mary.

Mrs. Ballard was a long-time member of Frazer Methodist Church and retired from The State of Alabama, Dept. of Pensions and Securities.

Donations can be made to the Real Island Volunteer Fire Dept., The Humane Society of Elmore County in honor of Carolyn’s Rescue Doggie, “Sugar”, or the charity of your choice.
