Carolyn N. Griffith

Carolyn N. Griffith, 97, of Wetumpka, AL passed away peacefully at her home Monday, February 9, 2026. She was a native of Birmingham, AL but her roots have been planted in Wetumpka for nearly 30 years. She loved to spend time with her family and friends as much as possible.

Carolyn loved the Lord and He blessed her with the gift of musical talent on the piano, which she felt was her ministry in life and loved to share with others.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Rufus Howard Norton and Pearl Sadie Owen Norton; her husband of 46 years, William (Bill) Joseph Griffith; two brothers, Phillip Allan Norton and Roland Howard Norton, one son, William Daniel (Dan) Griffith; one grandson, Shannon Brent McGhee.

Carolyn is survived by three daughters, Gail McGhee, Diane Dennison (Rick Williams) and Gwyn Chavez (José Chavez); 8 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren, 9 great-great-grandchildren, 3 nieces and a nephew.

A visitation for Carolyn will be held Tuesday, February 17 at 1:00 PM at Leak Memory Chapel, 945 Lincoln Road, Montgomery, AL 36109. A funeral service will follow at 2:00 PM. Burial will follow immediately at Alabama Heritage Cemetery, 10505 Atlanta Hwy, Montgomery, AL 36117.
