Carolyn Joyce Holland, 62, of Verbena, AL died May 3, 2012. Ms. Holland worked for BASS magazine in the publication department for 30 years before her retirement. She also worked for Bruno’s supermarket for many years as a cashier. Ms. Holland was a wonderful, loving caring person who would do anything for anyone, especially her family. She was preceded in death by parents, Sam and Ardina Holland, and her brother, Barney Joe Holland. She is survived by sisters, Jimmie Meliska of Verbena, AL; Omatine Wright of Geraldine, AL; sister-in-law Katherine Holland of Crossville, AL; brothers Warren Holland of Verbena, AL; Jerry (Joyce) Holland of Rome, GA, and numerous nieces and nephews. A visitation will be held on Sunday, May 6, 2012 from 1pm – 3pm at White Chapel Funeral Home, followed by a 3pm memorial service in the chapel. Inurnment at Greenwood Cemetery will follow at a later time. White Chapel Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
