Charles Kimbrough, age 86, transitioned in Baptist Hospital, South in Montgomery on December 7, 2021. He was an honored Military Air Force Veteran, receiving a National Defense Service Medal, Sept. 4, 1953, And went on to earn an associate degree.
Mr. Kimbrough was a native of Montgomery, born of his mother, Irene Allen Byrd and father, Charles Kimbrough, Sr. in Alabama where he lived and married Barbara Kimbrough, wife of 35 years. He had a dedicated career as a trusted family employee for Winton Blount and family before retiring.
Mr. Kimbrough was a family man, an honored veteran earning a National Defense Medal in '53 and an avid sports fan. He was an officer for USAF National Defense Program and VA Police.
He is survived by his daughter Shrisma Kimbrough-Hardge, Florida, son-in-law Seandel Hardge, Michigan, Seretha Kimbrough, AL. daughter, Selina Kimbrough, FL. daughter, Sabrina Kimbrough, NY daughter, and son Taurus Davis FL., and a quiver full of grandchildren. Charles is also survived by several nieces, cousins, and many friends. Charles was preceded in death by his late wife, parents, daughters, and brother.
Funeral services will take place at Greenwood Serenity Memorial Gardens in Montgomery, AL on Monday, December 13, 2021, at 11:00 a.m. Burial services will be private for immediate family.
