

After a long and blessed life, Christopher Mack Green went peacefully home to be with Jesus on November 13, 2025. He was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother and uncle, and will be missed but cherished forever. He was born in Louisville, Alabama to Clifford and Hortense Green. After serving in the United States Army and earning his degree from Troy State University he moved to Montgomery, Alabama where he taught English and Spanish for 40+ years; for the majority of that time, he served at Robert E. Lee High School where he was inducted into the school Hall of Fame in 2003. He also taught at Montgomery Academy, Hooper, and Booker T. Washington Magnet after retirement. He was a charter member of Eastern Hills Baptist Church where he served as deacon and usher for 50+ years. He enjoyed gardening, painting, traveling, speaking Spanish, and mission trips to Central / South America.
He is survived by his daughters Bonnie (her husband James Fenoy) and Lucy (her husband David Smith); grandchildren, Ashley Smith and Allyson (her husband Tyler Dutton); six great grandchildren, Deonte, Tanner, Brooklyn, Nelson, Luke, Chance; brother Frank Green; as well as many special nieces and nephews from both sides of the family
Preceding him into the life after: Wife of 68 years, Sarah Frances Folmar; Parents, Clifford and Hortense Green; Sister, Julia Emma Green Miller; brother, Perry Green.
Services will be Saturday, November 22 at the Leak Memorial Chapel in Montgomery. Visitation from 1:00 pm and Celebration of Life at 2:00 pm with graveside immediately following at Greenwood Cemetery.
