

Daniel “Danny” Lea Day, 63, a resident of Montgomery, AL, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, April 7, 2017. A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Saturday, April 15, 2017 at 2:00PM at Leak Memory Chapel. Visitation will be from 12:00PM – 2:00PM prior to the services at Leak Memory. Refreshments will be served during the visitation. Danny touched many lives and will be greatly missed by all that knew him. He had a very strong bond with his two daughters and grandkids, especially with his grandson Chase. He was a huge Alabama fan that loved watching the games with his family. Danny enjoyed many things, especially riding motorcycles, playing cards, and his Thai food. He spent a lot of time at Green Papaya Lao-Thai Cuisine, enjoying his favorite dish, Pad Thai. He loved his labs, Choco, Ben, and Monsieur Duque. Danny will always be remembered for his zest for life and the friendships he made. He was preceded in death by his parents, Virgil Lea and Jane Daniel Day. Danny is survived by two loving daughters, Stephanie Michelle Khamken (Santi), Laura Lea Day (Taylor); grandson, Chase A. Hobbs; granddaughter, Madelyn M. Khamken; sister, Deborah Day “Dee” Collier; niece, Kristian D. Langen; nephew, Matthew T. Collier (Nicole); great nephews, Simon S. Langen, Ethan T. Collier, Russell H. Collier; and his lifelong friend, John P. Derickson. Flowers will be accepted, or donations can be made to the American Heart Association in memory of Danny Day.
