Debbie was a loving wife, recently widowed, and a loving mother. She was an avid supporter of anything involving her late husband or sons. Her faith was also an important part of her life. She offered much of her time serving on the Altar Guild at Church of the Ascension and attended the early service every Sunday. She kept a beautiful home and worked as a part-time bookkeeper.
While dating then marrying her late husband in 1983, she was motivated by his love of Auburn football to attend Auburn University in Montgomery, graduating in 1984 with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration, and has been a fan ever since. She always fed her family something incredible and made sure to pass her knowledge and love for it to them.
