Debra Ann Long Spann was born on December 1, 1954 to Patricia Long (Duff) and Billie H. Long at Burtonwood Air Force Base in the United Kingdom. She passed away on Monday, December 17, 2018 at Jackson Hospital.
Debra loved helping people and was always teaching and learning, and never one to pass up a conversation with a stranger, this was something she enjoyed, always going out of her way to talk and give a positive message and try to give someone comfort in a time of crisis. She approached her work for the State of Alabama in the same way. She will be dearly missed by many. She is survived by her son (Lawrence Andrew Spann), a sister Jacqueline D. Vaughn, and numerous friends and relatives. A memorial service will be held on Thursday, January 3, 2019 at 10:00 am at St. Bedes Catholic Church located at 3870 Atlanta Hwy, Montgomery, AL. 36109 followed by a visitation fellowship in the church parish hall.
