Donald Bertram Day

He is survived by his brother, William (Bill) L. Day (Louise); his brother-in-law Larry Scott; his children, Gloria Day Stout (Ricky), James Antony (Tony) Day, Mark Christopher Day (Laurie), Leslie Kathryn (Kathy) Day Vlasz (Vince); his five grandchildren, Alicia Grace Stout Hangen (Matt), James Day, Shannon Day, Hailey Day, Zander Vlasz and his expected first great grandchild, a little girl to be named Alethia Eden Hangen.

Visitation will begin on Thursday, September 29, 2016, at noon at Leak Memory Chapel, 945 Lincoln Road, Montgomery, AL, to be immediately followed by a Celebration of Life Service at 1:00 p.m. Burial will follow the service at Montgomery Memorial Cemetery, 3001 Simmons Dr, Montgomery, AL.

The family expresses their deepest appreciation and never-ending gratitude to Alacare Hospice for not only their professional expertise and loving care for Don, but for their kindness and emotional support and understanding for family members during Don’s last days. In addition, the family is grateful for Pastor Bill Tucker who provided prayer, wise counseling, support and who shared the light of Christ shining through him with Don and his caregivers.

Don was a sweet spirit who will be greatly missed by all who loved him. Our loss is Heaven’s gain.
