

Morse, Donald Robert, age 49, a native of Rochester, NY and a lifelong resident of Montgomery, AL died July 14, 2012 following an extended illness and disability. Donald was preceded in death by his parents Roberta L. Morse of Stone Mountain, GA and Ret. Maj. David P. Morse, USAF of Stuart, FL. He is survived by his brothers, David P. Morse, Jr. of Duluth, GA and Douglas J. Morse of Jacksonville, FL; sisters, Deborah Lee Morse of Roswell, GA and Denise (Bart) Peterson of Duluth, GA, numerous nephews, nieces, great nephews and a great niece and also his best friend and caregiver, John E. Matthews of Montgomery, AL. Donald will be remembered by his family and friends as a loving brother and Son of God. All who knew Donald recognized his love for family, John and the Lord. His sense of humor was well known amongst his Sowers Sunday School Class at Frazer United Methodist Church and his friends. Donald loved to be surrounded by children and his smile could light up the room. Donald accepted the challenges of his disabilities with humor and grace, knowing that it was God’s grace that allowed him to continue in this life. During his working years, Donald ran his own lawn service and was an accomplished landscaper. He was also a professional painter of residential and commercial properties. The family wishes to thank Mary Burt and the staff of Parkview Adult Day Health Services for their loving care. Visitation will be at 10:00 am Thursday, July 19th at Frazer United Methodist Church. Services are scheduled for 11:00 am with burial following in Greenwood Cemetery.
