

On December 29, 2024, Doretta (Dodie) Ann Corbin Blue, age 80 years, went safely into the arms of Jesus today, and is now happily with her beloved husband, Billy, who was the love of her life of over 50 years.
Dodie’s walk with the Lord began as a young wife and mother, and her love and faith in Him never wavered. She was a member of Eastmont Baptist Church and the Joy Sunday School class.
Dodie is survived by her two children, Billy V. Blue, Jr. (Lynn); her daughter Deana Blue Kuntz (Kirk), granddaughters Katelyn Kuntz Kelley (Josh) Alice Ann (Aly) Blue, and her 4 most beautiful, (more beautiful than anyone’s great grandchildren) Zeke, Tyson, Cade and Murphy. Her sisters, Carol Kennedy, Joy Bozeman, Harriet Adams (Larry), her brother Aaron Corbin (Lynn) and nieces and nephews too numerous to count. Her friend and caregiver, Tracie Tucker; and many special friends and acquaintances.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Billy, her beloved grandson, Clint Kuntz, her parents Harry and Ida Ruth Corbin.
Dodie began her work career as a Legal Assistant with varied lawyers, in Montgomery, before moving to the Montgomery County Courts, as a Legal Assistant to Judge Mark Anderson. Before her retirement, to the State of Alabama Attorney General Office, as Legal Assistant and advocate for victims of crime in that office.
Besides being a dedicated member of her church, she was involved with numerous organizations, and was a valued member of Beta Sigma Phi Sorority, Preceptor Delta Chapter; and a loyal member of VOCAL, Victims of Crime and Leniency.
Dodie loved her children, grandchildren, and her siblings with her whole heart, and used every opportunity to get them all together. Dodie is remembered by her generosity to everyone with whom she came in contact with. She never turned her back on anyone who needed a helping hand.
In lieu of flowers, donation may be made to Eastmont Baptist Church Homebound Ministry; VOCAL, Victims of Crime and Leniency or to Hospice of Montgomery.
Services will be held at Leak Memory, 945 Lincoln Road, Montgomery, AL., Burial will immediately follow in Greenwood Cemetery.
