Doris Victoria Barnhill, loved by many as "Vickie", died at the age of 58 after a decade battle with cancer. Thanks to Dr. Stephen Davidson and the nursing staff at Montgomery Cancer Center for your compassionate care; and thank you to all the nurses, especially those at Jackson/Nolan Hospital, for your loving care during the last two months. She is preceded in death by her father Owen C. Barnhill and her mother Irene Hall Barnhill, who were lifetime owners of The Pet Pad and Ceramic store in Prattville, AL for many years prior to their deaths in 2010. Vickie leaves behind a loving brother, Kent Barnhill of Montgomery, Al, her beloved son Jimmy Ray Reeves, Jr., his wife Heather, and precious grandchildren Kate and Nolan Reeves, all of Merryville, TN. Vickie will always be remembered for her tenacious spirit, her unfailing love for her son and grandchildren, and her willingness to witness to anyone about God. Her life is a testimony of God's healing power and unconditional love. She would always say her perspective on life changed when she developed a relationship with God under the guidance of her Pastors Jean Givens and Adam Givens of Bethel Pathway Church, where she was a member for over 15 years. As a faithful witness, she encouraged anyone she met-- and she never met a stranger--to come to her church Bethel if you need a miracle and want to feel God's love. She will be missed by many. A memorial service will be held on Thursday, August 25, at 11:00 am at Bethel Pathway Church, 3017 Lower Wetumpka Rd, Montgomery, AL 36110. Please, in lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to her church.
