ROBINSON, Dorothy Mae Brooks, 85, a resident of Montgomery, AL died Wednesday, October 19, 2011 in a local hospital. Graveside services will be held on Monday, October 24, 2011 at 3:00 PM at Greenwood Cemetery with Dr. Rick Marshall officiating. Visitation will be from 2:00-3:00 PM prior to the service at White Chapel-Greenwood Funeral Home. Mrs. Robinson was preceded in death by her husband, Howard Leon Robinson, brother, James Edgar Brooks, Jr. and a sister, Christine Brooks Bridges. Survivors include one daughter, Carolyn R. King (Robert); one son, Gary Leon Robinson; two sisters, Elizabeth Bearden; Gloria Joyce Meriwether (Billy); one brother, John Cooper Brooks (Annette); and two grandchildren, Matthew and Angela King. Pallbearers will be Matthew King, Jimmy Brooks, Cecil Bridges, Lanny Sears, Rob Robinson, Mike Meriwether, Johnny Brooks, and Clarence Bearden. In lieu of flowers, Memorial contributions may be made to Father Purcell Children’s Center, 2048 W. Fairview Ave., Montgomery, AL 36108.
