Edna Bass

Edna Bass, 88, passed away on peacefully on Monday, Aug 14, 2023. A memorial service with family will be held on Sunday, Aug 20 at 2:00pm with a visitation set for an hour prior at Leak Memory Chapel.

Edna was a devoted follower of Christ and dedicated member of Chisholm Baptist Church. She dedicated much of herself to working to better her community and her church as well as serving as she was able in community missions organizations. She was a kind and faithful person – quiet and stoic – who loved deeply and purposefully.

Edna was preceded in death by her husband, James Bass; her parents, Ina and Earl Crittenden; her brothers, Austin Crittenden and Ray Crittenden; her sisters, Mildred Trott, Fay Hollon, and Sarah Wazlavek; and her grandson, Ryan Bass. She is survived by two children, Jerry Bass and Robert Bass; three grandchildren, Leslie Ogburn, Jason Bass, and Allison Bass; and two great grandchildren, Casey Ogburn and Ethan Ogburn.
