Sims, Edna Joyce age 83 passed away July 5, 2016. She was preceded in death by her husband, William I. Sims and her son, William Glenn Sims. Mrs. Sims is survived by two sons, Tommy (Anne) Sims of Clinton, MS and Phillip I. Sims of Montgomery, AL. Mrs. Sims worked at Jackson Hospital as a nurse aid in the mid 60’s-70’s. She also worked with Sims Exterminating Company. She is a Christian and attended Highland Gardens Baptist Church alive in her women missionary union. She was a faithful servant in her church, cooking cream cheese pound cakes and working in the nursery and kitchen. A visitation will be held on Thursday, July 7, 2016 from 1:30-3:00PM with a Celebration of Life Service following at 3:00PM at Leak Memory Chapel. Burial will follow at Montgomery Memorial Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alabama Baptist Women’s Missionary Union.
