Edward E. Davidson

He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Gigi Davidson; sons Jason (Lisa) and Ryan (Sherri); grandsons, Jack and Grant; as well as extended family.

Ed was born and raised in Greenville, Alabama. He was preceded in death by his parents, Oma and James Davidson, and brothers, Lloyd Davidson and Charles Davidson.

He and Gigi met and were married while he was stationed in Germany with the United States Army. The two made their home and raised their sons in Montgomery upon returning to the states.

He enjoyed playing baseball and served many years as a youth league coach. He loved attending and watching Alabama Crimson Tide football games, sharing this passion with his sons and grandsons. Ed retired as the assistant plant manager from Koppers, Inc. in 1998 after almost 30 years.

A Family and Friends graveside is set for Friday, December 30, 2022 at 12:30 pm in the Alabama National Cemetery in Montevallo, Alabama.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Humane Society of Elmore County.
