Eleanor H. Potts, 90, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, January 6, 2021 at Troy Health and Rehab. Eleanor was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend to many. She was a hard working woman with a servant’s heart. She loved the Lord with all her heart and showed it daily. Eleanor was a longtime member of Chisholm Baptist Church since 1963. She is survived by her son, Michael H. Carpenter; grandchildren, Amanda (John) Arnold, Matthew H. Carpenter, Michael C. (Alison) Carpenter; great grandchildren, Nathan Arnold, Kyleigh Arnold, Owen Carpenter, and Evelyn Carpenter; brothers and sisters, Glen (Linda) Hill, Nadine Robinson, Adolph Hill, Travis (Lutrena) Hill, Darrell (Darlene) Hill, Jerry Hill, Sammy Hill, Shirley (Sammy) Wynn and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Eugene D. Potts; parents, Henry Hill and Nannie Bamberg; brothers and sisters, Carlos Hill, Garvis Hill, Doris Kinard, Dora Bea Coleman, Lois Coleman and Sybil McIntosh. Graveside services will be held on Monday, January 11, 2021 at 2:00PM at Greenwood Cemetery.
