

Ellen Carter Record (76 years of age) was born July 29, 1946 to Ralph and Sybil Carter in Anniston, AL. Ellen was the youngest of six siblings. She left her earthly body to go home to her Heavenly Father on December 28, 2022, while at Jackson Hospital in Montgomery, AL. At the time of her passing, she was surrounded by many of her family members.
She is survived by her husband Jeffrey Record, her two daughters Dana (Trae) Edwards and Tina (Larry) Hazle, her stepdaughter Jessica (Zack) Record and her stepson Jason Record. She is survived also by her six grandchildren, Casey (Stephanie) Lindley, Barrett (Ashley) Solomon, Colby Craighead, Lindley Edwards, Trace Edwards and Scarlett Record. She leaves behind five great grandchildren, Krymson Lindley, Chandler Solomon, Grace Lindley, Sylas Craighead and Charity Solomon along with her brother, Ralph (Joan) Carter and two sisters, Betty Reid and Helen Lee. She is survived also by two additional sister-in-laws and a number of nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her parents Ralph and Sybil Carter and her two brothers, Bobby Carter and Paul Carter as well as her father and mother-in-law, Walder "Buddy" Record and Margaret Record.
Ellen was a Godly woman who greatly loved her family and friends. She was a petite lady with a huge heart for others and she never met a stranger. She will be missed by all who loved her and knew her.
Ellen’s “Celebration of Life” will be held at Landmark Church of Christ in Montgomery, Alabama on Wednesday, January 4, 2023 starting at 11:00 am preceded by an hour for family and friends visitation.
A second service will be held Sunday, January 8, 2023 with visitation at 1:00 pm and service at 2:00 pm at Bette View Hills Church of Christ in Oxford, AL.
