Emery Dean Henderson passed away August 6th, 2023 at his cousin Donald Mcgehee's house. He was born March 27th, 1954 in Montgomery, Alabama. He was preceded in death by his parents George Henderson and Emerald Henderson; brother Jimmy Henderson and sister Betty Money. He is survived by two brothers: Bobby Henderson and Eddie Henderson; one child: Tucker Henderson; two grandchildren: Emory Henderson and Margot Henderson.
The family moved from Montgomery to Hope Hull when he was a teenager where he played football for Hooper Academy and then graduated. He moved back to Montgomery and started a family where he worked as a repairman and eventually became a truck driver until he retired. He enjoyed spending time with friends and family, even if it was just over the phone because of his extended time away from home as a truck driver. He was an avid fan of Nascar and Alabama football, and a faithful servant to his Lord Jesus Christ.
A funeral service will be held Thursday, August 10th, 2023 at 10:00 a.m. at Leak Memory Chapel with pastor Gary Burton officiating. Graveside services will be held at Greenwood Cemetery. Paul bearers will be Tucker Henderson, Jimmy Wynn, Casey Suchocki, Jason Perez, Josh Henderson and Joel Henderson.
"If we live, we live for the Lord; and if we die, we die for the Lord. So, whether we live or die, we belong to the Lord."
