

Emma McCraw McGuire, age 99 of Montgomery, AL born May 30, 1916, and is being welcomed into Heaven on September 30. She was preceded in death by her husband John McGuire, parents William and Emma McCraw, 2 sisters and 2 brothers. Survivors include one daughter, Onie Wallace (Bob) of Farmington, MN and two sons Joe (Sharon) McGuire of Montgomery and Pat McGuire of Grady. Grandchildren include Samantha Wallace Weierke (Dusty) of Farmington, MN, John Wallace (Jennifer) of Birmingham, Melissa McGuire Logue (Will) of Franklin, TN, Stephanie McGuire Davis (Theron) and Russell McGuire of Ramer,11 great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers are Dusty Weierke, John Wallace, Will Logue, Theron Davis, William Weierke, and John Robert Wallace. Honorary pallbearers are Russell McGuire.
Funeral services will be Friday, October 2 at 3 pm Leak Memory Funeral Home with Brad Sullivan officiating and Terry Brown, song leader . Visitation will be at 2pm prior to the service. Burial will follow at Greenwood Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Vaughn Park Church of Christ, Family Care Ministry or Rainbow Division veterans Fund (RDVF) Scholarship, 22 Almond Tree Lane, Warwick, NY 10990-2442
Emma McGuire aka Gran Gran born and raised in Chilton County and pursued a career as a registered nurse, retiring from Jackson Hospital. She was a member of Vaughn Park Church of Christ and regularly attended until the last few weeks. She was known for her visitation of those in need and needed a smile. She was an avid bowler until the last year and enjoyed spending time at her farm in Pike County, especially when that included visits from the grandchildren. She was the last WWI Rainbow Division widow. Leak Memory Chapel Directing.
