Emma G. Tungate (Grace), age 95, of Montgomery, Alabama passed away peacefully on September 28, 2025, while holding her daughter's hand. Grace is preceded in death by her parents, William and Mollie Jordan; her husband of 54 years, James T. Tungate; her infant son, James T. Tungate; and her son, Dale Hall. She is survived by her sons, James R. Tungate (Jimmy) and Cecil Tungate (Donna); her daughter, Gail Nix (Allen); and her seven grandchildren, nine great grandchildren and five great-great grandchildren.
Grace was a faithful member the Church of Christ in Montgomery on Panama Street. She enjoyed reading and crossword puzzles. She also loved watching old movies. She loved the color pink and although she was little, she always had big opinions and lots of spunk. Grace was greatly loved by her family, and she will be dearly missed.
A graveside service will be held at Forest Hills Memorial Park, located at 9504 US-331, Montgomery, AL, 36105, United States. The service is scheduled for October 4, 2025, at 11:00 am.
