Ernest Stone of Wetumpka, Alabama, passed away on Wednesday, June 26, 2019, at the age of 40. He was a graduate of Alabama State University, Ashford University, and Trenholm State Technical College. He was also a member of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc., the Montgomery Alumni Chapter. Ernest loved spending time with his family, and teaching and mentoring children. He was a faithful member of Redland Hills Church of Redland, Alabama. He enjoyed bowling and watching the Auburn Tigers play football, an adamant Auburn fan!
Ernest was preceded in death by his grandmother, Eloise Witcher and grandfather, Jessie D. Witcher. He is survived by his loving spouse, Novadean; his mother; his father, Cleddie Gardner; his brothers and sisters including, Little Gaston Stone III, Cleddie Stone (Tomikia), Ronald "Tripp" Johnson and Rona; as well as two uncles and six aunts. He will be missed by his devoted cousins, Preppie Witcher, Westley Stone, Angela Witcher; his devoted nieces and nephews, Jaylin, Kaylin, Tyreka, Keyira, Khia, Josef, Christopher, Ta’Niyah and Malia.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, June 30, 2019, from 12:00-1:30pm at Leak Memory Chapel with a Celebration of Life at 1:30pm with Rev. Wes Gunn officiating. Burial will follow at Greenwood Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Preppie Witcher, Westley Stone, Jessie Stone, Marques Stewart, Jerard Wood, Ervin Holloway, Ronnie Belle, and Darnell Watson. Honorary pallbearers will be the Montgomery Alumni Chapter of Kappa Alpha Si Fraternity, Inc.
