Edgar Eugene (Gene) Nix passed away peacefully with family at his bedside on Friday, November 4, 2011. Mr. Nix was a lifelong resident of Montgomery and was preceded in death by both parents James and Callie Nix, a wife Jean Marie Nix, a daughter Melissa Nix, three brothers James, Tommy, and Roger Nix one sister Shirley Shnell. Mr. Nix is survived by his daughter Pam (Mike) sons Duck and Randy a daughter in law Susan Nix three grandsons Michael Thomas (Bailey), Chase Nix and Hayden Nix one grandaughter Meagan Thomas two great grandchildren Michael and Madison Thomas, three sisters Evelyn Kilcrease, Betty Wiseman (Ray), and Betty Vance one beloved brother and Best Friend Alllen Nix (Gail). Graveside services for the family will be Tuesday November 8, 2011 at Greenwood Cemetery with Pastor Bubba Lambert Officiating.
