Mrs. Eunice B. Carlisle

CARLISLE, EUNICE BEDSOLE, age 86, of Montgomery, Alabama was welcomed into the loving arms of Jesus on Friday, July 27, 2012. Eunice was born on January 16, 1926 in Strata, Alabama. She devoted her life to loving and serving her family and was an incredible wife, mother, grandmother, friend and servant of the Lord. She was affectionately known as “Nana” by her six grandchildren, ten great grandchildren, and countless other “children” she adopted as her own. Her contagious smile, generous heart and gentle spirit will be greatly missed.

She is survived by her loving husband of 67 years, J. Bryant Carlisle; her children Jimmy (Marsha) Carlisle, Lynn (Randy) Williams, and Gail (RJ) Caldwell; her grandchildren Dan (Courtney) Carlisle, Shana Williams (Tom) Cash, Craig (Susan) Carlisle, Chad (Brooke) Williams, Mandi Carlisle (David) Rouse, and Josh (Beth) Caldwell; and her great grandchildren Cooper, Claire, Bryant, Madeline, Caroline, Brayden, Hudson, Callie, Anna Claire and Taylor. She was preceded in death by her daughter Susan Frances Carlisle. Eunice was an active member of Forest Park Baptist Church for 51 years. She welcomed all who entered the doors of the church as a greeter and church hostess. She was known for her delicious teacakes and homemade rolls.

The funeral and celebration of her life will be held at Leak Memory Chapel on Monday, July 30, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. The family will receive friends from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. on Sunday, July 29, 2012 at Leak Memory Chapel.
