Dowdy, Forrest B., 82, of Montgomery passed away on Saturday, March 31, 2012 in Montgomery. Forrest was preceded in death by his wife of 57 years, Dolores A. Dowdy in 2008 and his infant son Travis Alan Dowdy. Forrest served in the US Air Force and was a veteran of the Korean Conflict. He was also a real estate broker and mortgage banker for many years. Survivors include his children: Stan F. (Julie) Dowdy, L. Craig (Neeahtima) Dowdy, Walter C. Dowdy and Tracy D. (Matt) Hall; Grandchildren: F. Ryan Dowdy, W. Reid Dowdy, Emma C. Dowdy, Carsten P. Dowdy, Regan B. Dowdy, Mallory Frances Hall and Matthew Reeves Hall. Funeral services will be held at 2 pm Saturday, April 7 at Leak Memory Chapel with visitation beginning at 1 pm. Rev. Jay D. Cooper and 2ndLT. John Blount (USAF Reserve - Chaplain Candidate) officiating. Interment will follow at New Bethel Braggs Cemetery in Braggs, Alabama with full military honors.
