Frank Larry Greco Sr.

Frank was born on July 18,1929 in Utica New York to Peter and Theresa Greco. He graduated high school from Proctor High School in Utica, New York and went on to Clarkson College earning an associate degree in computer programing.

Frank was enlisted in the Army from February 1950 to June 1955 during the Korean War. Private Frank L. Greco 56th AAA Brigade was a Corporal in the U.S. Army E-4 and served with the Seventh Army Noncommissioned Officer Academy in Munich, Germany.

While in the Army, he married the love of his life, Dolores (Diddy) Bonanza. They were married on November 24th 1951 in Utica, NY and were married for over 50 years.

Frank went on to work for the government for 32 years, initially as a coder for punch cards, and then progressing to a System Analyst. He retired as a GS15 in 1985. After retirement he worked for the State of Alabama and helped design and implement the electronic food stamps systems and upgrades to the State of Alabama’s pay roll system.

Frank was predeceased by his beloved wife Dolores (Diddy). He is survived by his four children and their spouses: Lucinda (Wesley) Taylor, Frank (Sherry) Greco, Barbara Greco (Andrew) Potash, and James Greco. He is also survived by several grandchildren (and spouses); Jacob Pollock, Bliss (Jud) Harper, David Price, Elizabeth (Jason) Estes, Bill (Jennifer) Hutchinson, Amber Hutchinson (Kevin), Heather (Bruce) Jackson, Elizabeth Greco (Zachary) Diedrich. And several great-grandchildren; Taylor Ann and Judson Harper; Ella Pollock, Dylan Price, Lilly Estes; Billy, Austin, and Laila Hutchinson; Tahlayn and Taymus Fee; Eli, JW, and Bill Jackson; and Marissa Greco.

Visitation and funeral service will be on July 22, 2023 and July 23, 2023 at Leak Memory Chapel Funeral Home as follows:

Saturday July 22, 2023:

Public visitation from 2 pm to 5 pm.

Sunday July 23, 2023:

From 1 pm to 2 pm.

Service at 2 pm in Leak Memory Chapel.

Followed by Military Salute at Cemetery
