Franklin Thomas Bowers, 83, passed away on November 21, 2012 at the comfort of his home following a brief illness. He was born and raised in Montgomery, Alabama and was a long time member of Eastern Meadows Church of Christ. After serving in the US Navy, he worked as an engineer for Auburn University until his retirement. He was known for his love of gardening, love of Auburn football, the tastiest banana pudding in the South and his hard work ethic. He is survived by his wife of 63 years Naomi Parke Bowers; son Mark Bowers; daughter Donna (James) Pilgrim; granddaughter: Carli Pilgrim and brothers Edward, Marvin and Garry Bowers. Graveside services will be at 11 am Saturday, November 24, 2012 at Greenwood Cemetery. Visitation will begin at 10 am at Leak Memory Chapel.
