Gelia Joy Pettus, 89,went to be with her Lord and Saviour on Monday, November 6, 2017. She was predeceased by her husband, Samuel Marcus Pettus, Jr.; father, Hubert Frazier, Sr.; mother, Leona Stringer Frazier; brother, Hubert Frazier, Jr.

Mrs. Pettus is survived by her sons, Keith Allen (Teresa) Pettus and Gary Lee (Kathy) Pettus; grandchildren, Neal Garrett Pettus (Erin), Lauren Pettus Harrell (Trey), Kayla Pettus Barksdale (Christopher), and Jordan Pettus; great-grandchildren, Chambless Allen Harrell, Richard Vaughn Harrell, IV “Zeke”, Rylee Maddox Harrell, Garrett Walker Pettus, Hollon Frazier Pettus and Adler Sloane Barksdale; sister, Peggy Frazier Horne and a host of nieces, nephews and inlaws.

A visitation will be held on Thursday, November 9, 2017 from 10:00AM -11:00AM at Leak Memory Chapel with a Celebration of Life service to follow at 11:00AM. Burial will follow at Greenwood Serenity Gardens.

Pallbearers will be Chris Barksdale, Michael Brightwell, Trey Harrell, Jerry Higgins, Mark Higgins, Craig Horne, Mickey Horne, Myles Horne, Stuart Horne, Neal Pettus and Chad Schroeder.
